The issues.

Of course you've probably seen the reviews that pointed out how this episode is out of place and that it's effect as a drama don't exactly work. Yes this is that kind of review.
Adding on to those reviews, though, I'm gonna have to say that this episode had so many cliches. The entire gun scene. I.E. Staredown, KILL ME, nope too scared face down depressed look, why do you think you're here, I know why, etc etc
This was your point, wasn't it? A majority of the episode was meant to be emotional. It really wasn't. Of course I'm curious of why he's in VGV or why Eric and June are holding hands. But when it's time for me to reflect on how this pars with other material out there, it just doesn't keep me interested enough to give a flying damn. You did this same exact thing with the Jerry series, right? Even with Jerry, I could somewhat feel something, since Jerry wasn't a too bright and cheery thing to begin with, even though at the beginning it was meant to have a sarcastic kind of humor to it. But here, many of the jokes aren't even 'jokes,' as much as they are awkward situations revolving around Mickey. That's not to say it's not funny, it is. But that's where the problem rests. You're adding drama to a series that revolves around a specific kind of humor. When you break out of that, it feels bad. It feels like I'm not watching a funny animation. It feels like I'm watching an emotional cartoon that I have absolutely -- NO -- connection to. I don't feel anything. I don't feel like I can care whether Mickey got shot or if he said what he was there for.
I know you're trying. I know you can do better.
But really, don't use so many cliches and if you want to have a drama, have a drama series. Don't incorporate it into something that's purpose is meant for sitting down, having a good time, and laughing. I loved your first episodes, but I'm sorry.
Tip on the cliches: When writing the script, if something that comes to your mind seems like you've seen it before, most likely you've seen it several times and the effect won't work well. Ask yourself: "How can I make this different?"
If I was writing the script, I would have had the boss shoot Mickey. I'm not kidding on that.

Amazing.

Not only does it appeal to the people who watch the original show, but it can also provide entertainment for those who constantly ponder upon the choices made by big rig companies such as Sony, Nintendo, etc. A true piece of work.
And my review is supposed to be funny because what I just said is bullshit. Did I make you laugh? I hope I did. Otherwise my life has no meaning.
